I wonder if it's accurate viewer numbers or just inflated metrics by DeviantArt to bolster paying customers hopes into repeat business, because I'm not getting any pay for my art and I fear the "likes" and "views" are also somehow lying to me. There's no advertising, no subscribers, no commissions, no business coming in, (and I would happily drop whatever I was doing to draw for money.) So I'm wondering what the point of a Core Membership even is at this point.

Also partly the reason there's been few if any updates to my gallery, because if there really WAS 5000 people looking at my art, then comments and feedback are a sparse desert ghost town in comparison. (The other reason being I've buckled down hard on the "Where the Boys Are" animation, but no one cares about that either, until it comes out, also unpaid.)

Well, it was an interesting experiment. Pay for a year's Core, and get no takers for art commissions/subs. Bunch of freeloaders, likers, beggars, and bots though. Maybe an artificial bump in metrics and viewability on the website.

But without a return on investment I guess I can't rationalize renewal for another year. Fun while it lasted. I'll still post art, just losing a priority.

Fractured my elbow, on my drawing arm, getting a cast soon. Gonna be a hot minute before I can get back to full-time art and animation, but darn it, I can try once the swelling goes down allowing the bones to knit.

Please excuse the minor delays, but over the next few days, I'll be cleaning up the cobwebs from my DA account, adding hitherto new and unpublished content, and utilizing the new gallery options for subscribed (watchers) and premium (paid) content. Check back as I have years worth of a back catalog of art to add in this massive ongoing art dump.
